{"id":502,"date":"2014-06-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-06-24T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/transparency.mk\/2014\/06\/24\/four-media-and-experts-exchanged-knowledge-about-specific-media-skills\/"},"modified":"2021-02-11T15:05:48","modified_gmt":"2021-02-11T14:05:48","slug":"four-media-and-experts-exchanged-knowledge-about-specific-media-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/transparency.mk\/en\/2014\/06\/24\/four-media-and-experts-exchanged-knowledge-about-specific-media-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"Four media and experts exchanged knowledge about specific media skills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; color: #000000;\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9023 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/transparency.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/ws16052014-300x145.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/transparency.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/ws16052014-300x145.jpg 300w, https:\/\/transparency.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/ws16052014.jpg 373w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>20.05.2014 From May 16th till May 18th, over 30 journalists and editors along with media experts and instructors exchanged knowledge and experiences about specific media skills and techniques regarding the preparation of editorial content in the media.<br \/>\nThe events took place in the form of workshops under the project Support to Independent Media in Macedonia, which is implemented by Transparency International-Macedonia and ERIS from the United Kingdom, and is supported by the European Union through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).<br \/>\nJournalists and editors from the weekly newspaper Focus, the web portal Nova TV, the daily newspaper Sloboden Pecat and TV Alsat M, had the opportunity to learn the basic principles and essentials of investigative journalism, with some techniques for using multimedia, exercises for choosing the relevant facts when creating a hypothetical news story, types of leads in news writing, the utilization of photography and graphics in print media, and the use of video in TV reporting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; color: #000000;\">The experts gave the participants from Sloboden Pecat and Alsat M the opportunity to analyze their own media\u2019s contents, and they were later able to exchange experiences and ideas on how to improve their coverage. In addition, participants were provided with several examples of print journalism in the United Kingdom.<br \/>\nThe workshops were fully interactive and that being so topics outside of the predetermined agenda were facilitated after being suggested by the participants.
