We campaign to bring those responsible to justice.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">Whistleblower protection is essential to expose wrong-doing and should be protected by the law. Currently \u00a0Macedonia does not have whistleblower protection laws and TI Macedonia has been contributing to the debate to introduce such laws.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">Such changes would protect all whistleblowers and support a free press and civil society.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">Elena Panfilova, Vice Chair of Transparency International said: \u201cCorruption rots everything it touches. It takes away human rights and makes the people pay. Whistleblowers who act in good faith to bring cases of corruption to justice should be protected regardless of their political views.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: normal;\">\u201cWe do not take sides in politics.
