On September 19 and 20, 2022, the CSO’s Platform in fight against corruption held an annual Assembly on which was adopted the Strategic plan for the period from 2022 to 2025. The plan describes the internal capacity of the Platform, its mission and vision and provides guidelines for the priorities of the Platform’s activities in the foreseen period. In the Strategy is foreseen strengthening of the position of non-governmental actors in the fight against corruption, strengthening of the cooperation with the state, institutions and municipalities and creating a critical mass that actively advocates for transparency, accountability and integrity in the Republic of North Macedonia.
At this Assembly, the members had the opportunity to discuss the current developments in the country and actions that should be taken in certain areas where there is a risk of corruption. The members exchanged information about their activities and experiences which the Platform can use to improve its work and strengthen its role in the anti-corruption processes in Macedonia.
* The CSO’s Platform in fight against corruption was established on December 9, 2014 in Skopje as an informal network. It currently has 17 members. The Platform, through joint reactions, tends to be corrective to the situation, and cooperates and communicate with all stakeholders including state institutions, political parties, the business community and the international community. It monitors and analyzes the legal framework and current public policies and activities for the suppression of corruption, initiates public debates on the quality of laws and initiates improvement of the legal framework where necessary.
