In the era of digitization, the availability of open data is of great importance for the fight against corruption. The easy review of data, processing and final analysis can contribute to detecting the risks of corruption and enable the media, citizens and other stakeholders in society to act actively in reducing corruption.
Transparency International – Macedonia within the project: “Integrity Watch in the Western Balkans and Turkey: Civil society combating corruption with political integrity data” will prepare a database for political financing.
The project seeks to empower citizens and civil society actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey to hold their political office holders to account for the integrity of political financing, law-making and resource allocation. Thus strengthened political integrity shall foster more public decisions consistent with the common good.
