Transparency International – Macedonia has been awarded with an operational grant in the amount of NOK 561,000 within the Smart Balkan program. Transparency International – Macedonia will implement the operational grant during 2024 and 2025. The purpose of the operational grant is to establish a system of good governance for effective prevention to fight corruption and a society that has zero tolerance for corruption. This goal will be achieved through activities that will contribute to improving the fight against corruption. The operational grant should contribute to strengthening the capacities of the organization for the implementation of current activities aimed at improving the fight against corruption and the rule of law.
The Smart Balkans program is financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a grant worth more than 17 million EUR. The program is implemented by the Center for Civil Society Promotion, together with partner organizations from Albania – Institute for Democracy and Mediation and North Macedonia – Center for Research and Policy Making. The programme contributes to strengthening participatory democracies and Euro Atlantic integrations in the Western Balkans.
