On September 12, 2024, Transparency International-Macedonia organized a focus group as part of the project “Fulfilling the Promise of Whistleblowing: Defending Citizens’ Rights and combating Corruption.” This project is funded by the Balkan Trust for Democracy, supported by The German Marshall Fund of the United States, and USAID – US Agency for the International development.
The participants in the focus group provided a productive discussion and constructive proposals regarding the situation of whistleblower protection in national legislation. Recommendations and specific solutions for improving the situation were proposed, which will be included in the final report for the needs of the project.
