Blagoja Pandovski, President of Transparency International – Macedonia, meets with H.E. Paolo Palminteri, Ambassador of the Italian Republic, at the Embassy of Italy.
The meeting focused on strengthening anti-corruption measures, advancing the rule of law, and the importance of effective and transparent public policies in preventing and combating corruption. Particular attention was given to the role of anti-corruption institutions, the promotion of integrity and accountability, and the need for continued institutional efforts to strengthen the rule of law.
The discussion also addressed North Macedonia’s European integration process, emphasizing the importance of sustained reforms, the fulfilment of European Union standards, and progress towards opening the EU accession negotiation clusters and chapters.
Both sides underlined the importance of international cooperation and dialogue in supporting democratic institutions, strengthening the fight against corruption, and advancing the country’s European perspective.
