The project aims to strengthen the rule of law and the transparency through institutional cooperation, to provide technical assistance and strengthening the capacities of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption and the State Audit Office as supervisory bodies and the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors that trains the future judges and public prosecutors as institutions responsible for investigations and processing cases.

Project objectives:

  • Increased and more effective cooperation between the Platform of the Civil Society Organizations for the Fight Against Corruption, civil society organizations and the media with the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors and the State Audit Office.
  • Improved cooperation between the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors and the State Audit Office in the implementation of the anticorruption legislative, ethical standards and conflict of interests. Strengthening of the institutional capacities including the Parliament in the fight against corruption.

  • Preparation of a module for ethics and training materials for the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors

Results

Increased cooperation of Transparency International Macedonia, other civil society    organizations and the media with the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors and the State Audit Office.

Increased cooperation, establishing operational procedures and information and documents exchange between the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors and the State Audit Office.

Providing expert support for the state institutions for strengthening of their capacities.

Organization of joint trainings for strengthening the cooperation between all stakeholders.

Improved study modules and procedures for execution of the work tasks in the fight against corruption.

Establishment of an expert network.
