light-bleak.jpg 19.07.2010 The bleakest event in June is the title “the Government will employ party members”, and “the announced submission of offences by the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption against 40 officials that have not delivered statement for prevention of conflict of interests” is considered the lightest event in June, according to the poll “Bleak- Light” conducted by the independent news agency Makfax and the NGO “Transparency Zero Corruption”.

light-bleak.jpg 18.05.2010 An economic promoter, who was paid by the government to attract foreign investment, worked on his private firm instead, has been singled out as the bleakest event in April.
The police operation “Metastasis”, which detained over 30 people, suspected in issuing illegal disability pensions, is the lightest event in April.
This was decided by 17 chief editors of print and electronic media in Macedonia in the opinion poll the conducted by independent news agency Makfax and NGO Transparency - Zero Corruption.

 light-bleak.jpg19.04.2010 The appointment of Ilmi Selami as new head of the National Anti-Corruption Commission took a convincing win as the most positive event in March this year, while the most negative event last month was the fact that the authorities' remained tightlipped on state's debt toward private sector.

This was the vote of 16 chief editors of electronic and print media in Macedonia, respondents in the monthly poll „Light-Bleak“ conducted by Makfax news agency and NGO Transparency - Zero Corruption.

22.03.2010 Patients from the countryside - needing treatment of minor ailments such as clogged bladder, ingestion of three sedatives, appendix surgery - are being diverted to Skopje's clinic center.

Hospitals from the countryside turn away patients with non-emergency disorders and send them to clinic in Skopje. A precious time is wasted while patients are sent on trip to Skopje, and sometimes it ends with a fatal outcome for patients. This was the case with Dusko Mamucevski from the town of Berovo, who died after being turned away by hospitals. This case was singled out as the bleakest event in February in the latest survey.

 light-bleak.jpg15.02.2010 Corrupt judiciary in Macedonia has been singled out as bleakest event in January, while the misuse of EU funds by the head of Agency for European Educational; Program was placed second on the list of bleak events.

This was the result of the vote of 17 editors of electronic and print media - respondents in Light-Bleak poll, conducted by Makfax news agency and NGO Transparency Zero Corruption.
