CALL TO POLITICAL LEADERS FOR TRANSPARENT AND PARTICIPATIVE PROCESS OF DECISION MAKING CONCERNING THE AGREEMENT OF JUNE 2 AND JULY 15, 2015

31.08.2015 The Platform of Civil Society Organizations for Fight against Corruption and Network 23 issues a call to all parties involved in the decision making on issues set out with the political parties’ Agreement and its annex for openness, transparency and involvement of civil society and all stakeholders.

16.07.2015 The Platform of Civil Society Organizations for Fight against Corruption issues again a call for the Public Prosecution to act in a more effective and transparent manner on the issues of alleged malpractices, unlawful treatment, corruption and violation of human rights revealed in the published telephone communications within the last months that would contribute to raise confidence in this institution.

 02.06.2015 Transparency International supports the work on whistleblower protection in its chapter TI Macedonia. As the global movement against corruption we expose corruption wherever we find it. We campaign to bring those responsible to justice.

Call for the relevant institutions to act upon the alleged malpractices, unlawful treatment, corruption and violation of human rights revealed in the published telephone communications    

25.03.2015 We, the CSOs members of the Platform for Fight against Corruption, are closely monitoring of the activities for publishing recorded telephone communications.

06.11.2014 On 1 November the new European Commission will officially commence its work for a five year term. The new college of 27 commissioners, led by President Jean Claude Junker, has committed to place transparency at the top of its agenda. The commission should make sure that its big talk about transparency and openness also applies to enlargement negotiations with the candidate and potential candidate countries.

03.06.2014 – Recognizing and dealing with hate speech effectively as well as looking into the legal framework for the interpretation and the regulation of hate speech were the topics explored during the workshop held as part of the Support to Independent Media in Macedonia project.

12.06.2014 In its 2014 Nations in Transit Report, Freedom House puts Macedonia in the same category as it was 10 years ago. The issues of significant declination of the media freedom and the deterioration of the legislative and economic environment for independent media are pointed as some of the biggest factors that contributed to this fall.

20.05.2014 From May 16th till May 18th, over 30 journalists and editors along with media experts and instructors exchanged knowledge and experiences about specific media skills and techniques regarding the preparation of editorial content in the media.
The events took place in the form of workshops under the project Support to Independent Media in Macedonia, which is implemented by Transparency International-Macedonia and ERIS from the United Kingdom, and is supported by the European Union through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).

03.06.2014 Improving the skills of reporters and editors at the TV station 24 Vesti and the radio network Kanal 77, was the main objective of the workshops held during the weekend of May 31st to June 1st, 2014.
The workshops organized by Transparency International-Macedonia are part of the Support to Independent Media in Macedonia project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the British-based NGO, Electoral Reform International Services (ERIS), and is financially supported by the European Union.
